I’m not sure if I’m starting the blog up again or not. After a month and change, my longest absence, all due to a rigorous work schedule in support of the Super Bowl (the busiest month for commercials and advertising), I’ve been on the fence for continuing this endeavor.
However, I’ve also realized this monologue of musical musings provides a semblance of structure and order for the compiling and assembly of all of my favorite music, as well as the increasingly necessary cobbling together of eclectic playlists, and the cataloging and storage of my many concert experiences.
Thus, I’m choosing to tread lightly. Some days, I might post a song, a show, or anything in between, without explanation, or at the very least, minimal words and description. Honestly, I just don’t have the time to get way deep into it. But I also can’t walk away, either.
With those thoughts, I’m going to start small and loud, with the progressive rock/post-metal duo Echo Tail, and their brief buzzing 2018 album intro “(Hindsight)” – i.e. it’s track numero uno on their most recent LP “Beauty in Denial.”
The title “(Hindsight)” just fits my mindset tonight . I think I’ve been looking back a bit in order to move forward. This brief 2 min. 42 sec. song just cuts to the gist of it.
Here it is …
