I was going to post this a couple days ago, while I was having a bit of nostalgia for the 2008-2010 era, if that actually was a thing. But time got the best of me, as did Halloween and my ongoing sinus cold. So here it is today. Let’s flashback to 2010 for “When I’m Small,” an early yet brilliant effort from New York duo Phantogram.
This one’s got a slightly neo-psychedelic vibe, driven by a percussive trip hop bassline, and sprinkled with hints of slinky dream-pop. If you’ve heard it before, you know what I’m talking about. If not, or you just need reminding, please feel free to check out one of the brighter moments of 2010. Enjoy!

As a bonus, here’s some footage of Phantogram, comprised of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, performing “When I’m Small” at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles in 2017, as part of a benefit concert for the David Lynch Foundation for transcendental meditation.
Phantogram perform “When I’m Small” @ the El Rey Theatre on 05.17.17.
