I’ve finally assembled all of my Day 1 concert footage from Desert Daze. It took a bit of time, due to my work schedule. But here it is. We’ve got two of the three songs Tame Impala was able to perform (before the lightning storm shut everything down), a handful of Warpaint tracks, a few contributions from Pond, and another from True Widow.
It goes without saying that Desert Daze had an incredible line-up this year. As you may have heard, Day 1 was a little rough going, due to Mother Nature’s whims, as well as traffic issues at the day’s outset. Nonetheless, the music was brilliant, the vibe was chill, and the festival was utterly enjoyable. Plus, I’d never been in the middle of a severe lightning storm exposed outside on a wide open beach before. So there’s that.
