My Bloody Valentine

Desert Daze starts today. That’s three days of psychedelic rock music that concludes on Sunday with headliners My Bloody Valentine, who happens to be one of my favorite live bands of all time. These guys redefine what it means to turn the volume up to 11. So in celebration of one of the loudest bands you’ll ever hear, I’ve compiled a collection of videos from their July performance at the Shrine Expo Hall.

You’ll have to excuse some of the video quality, as security kept trying to deter me from filming any of the performance. So occasionally, the footage is poorly framed, dips to black, or loses focus. But the audio sounds great. And that’s what really matters with MBV.
