If you’re an Interpol fan, last week’s show at the Bowl delivered exactly what you’d expect from this New York-based indie rock band. And that’s not a bad thing. A few new songs from their latest album “Marauder.” A lot of old ones, many from “Turn on the Bright Lights.” And a few lesser played ones.
I’ve seen these guys a few times, including the original “Turn on the Bright Lights” tour, as well as the 15th anniversary show of the same debut album last year at L.A. State Historic Park. And they still carry the same musical weight and passion as they have from the beginning. It’s great to see their fanbase grow and watch them play to a whopping 18,000 people at the Bowl.
Here’s a selection of tracks they performed. The sound is decent enough. Lousy handheld photography thanks to having too good of a time.
