Emma Ruth Rundle’s “Medusa”

Here’s an artist that’s been on my radar, but I’ve yet to dig deep into her catalog.  Emma Ruth Rundle gets tagged with a number of genres … indie folk, shoegaze, darkwave, etc.  She’s cited David Lynch and Kate Bush as influences.  So I’m totally on board with that.

“Medusa” is a dark-trodden, downtempo, twangy track that has a drifting progression that meanders in intensity.  I like it a lot.  Good for those late, late night candlelit affairs.

“Medusa” from the 2016 album “Marked for Death.”
